Background Check Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to submit background checks?

Yes. We require evidence of your completed background checks on all members of your business performing Agero services or handling information pertaining to Agero. 

What if I don't provide this information?

Failure to provide updated documentation may result in a loss of volume or removal from the Network.

Are they needed for all my drivers?
Yes. It is your responsibility to update your employee profiles in AgeroSupport.com in real time when you hire or let go of an employee.  Adding or deleting users in Swoop will not satisfy our compliance requirements.

To update employee information in your AgeroSupport account, use the Add a Driver/Remove a Driver button functionality in the left-hand menu of your Scorecard screen.

All active employees across all of your Vendor IDs must be entered. 

Are they free?
Yes; if you utilize our partnership with provider Checkr, your background checks are free of charge. Once employee information is updated in AgeroSupport.com, you will receive an email from Checkr within 24 hours with a personalized link for your employee.

Does the background check process include a credit or driving record check?
No; this is a simple, criminal background check. 

What if I run my own background checks?
You can leverage one of the following approved vendors:

Where do I send my background checks?

If you run your own background checks, they must be emailed to SPBackgrounchecks@agero.com; include your Vendor ID and company name in the subject line.

How often will I need to supply updated background checks?

You will receive automated reminders from our background check partner, Checkr, as well as outreach from our compliance team when renewed documentation is required.
